How to Massively Transform Your Life in One Simple Step
“Know thyself” — This ancient Greek proverb could not be more true.
Yet, the biggest challenge most of us face is knowing the essence of who we are and what we want from life.
Worse yet, most of us the lack the time and energy to make these inquiries. We’re too busy hustling and trying to make things happen that we forget what it is exactly we’re hustling for.
“The unexamined life is not worth living.” — Socrates
Before you can achieve true success you need to know yourself inside and out.
What makes you tick? What aggravates you? What’s your passion? What’s holding you back?
Self-discovery is an indispensable skill in the journey of life yet few of us even know how to use it.
Let’s be honest, most of us don’t even want to do the hard work of learning about ourselves.
It’s easier to take mindless actions and hope that something works out or have jobs that don’t make us happy and to turn to food, Netflix or other things to numb our discontent.
If you want a direct line to success instead of meandering around hoping to reach your goals do this.
Make Journaling a Non-Negotiable Daily Must
Let’s face it, discovering why we’re feeling what we’re feeling is not built into our life. We have schedules, priorities and responsibilities but taking the time to slow down, reflect and process everything that’s happening often is the last thing we want to do.
Even when things are going well, negative feelings can surface, and it’s essential to have a daily practice that lets you tap into those uncomfortable emotions so you can move past them.
Sure you can ignore them, or numb them but they’ll keep cropping up until you deal with them.
After spending almost all of my adult life suppressing my dreams, I decided to follow them just last year. It’s been a whirlwind of taking constant action but still feeling stuck.
My progress has been painstakingly slow because of my failure to journal my thoughts.
