I Let My Brother Die

He battled addiction his entire life.

When I was in high school, I ran into a woman on the beach while on a family vacation. After talking for a little while, we realized that we were from the same small town. She had gone to high school with my brother.

“Oh my God, I named my kid after him. Everyone just loved him,” she told me.
