He’s seriously writing an article about the chicken guy?

Yes I am! Harland David Sanders (aka — Colonel Sanders) was much more than a “chicken guy.” Harland Sanders was a loser. A big time loser. He failed at most things he attempted. If there was an Olympic event at being a loser, Harland Sanders would have won countless gold medals. He spent a literal life time screwing things up. He spent a good deal of life going from one job to another, one enterprise to another. Often ending each enterprise in disaster.

A literal lifetime, he didn’t really achieve any notable success until he was in his 70's. Yes, he was in his 70’s before he really achieved any major level of success.

If you’ve ever felt like a loser at some point in your life, Colonel Sanders should be your patron saint and your inspiration. He has a special place in my heart, not for his extra crispy chicken and his biscuits, but for his odd path to success. Sanders gives us the ultimate lesson in perseverance and not quitting. Sanders for me is the ultimate example of how a loser can become a winner by not quitting.
