We have all gone through this.

You decide to learn a language, and there is a multitude of resources for beginners. So, you use every one of them, practising for months, and you finally reach a level where you feel confident speaking to natives and comfortable reading books in that language.

You continue to practice the language using all of these methods, but notice that you are not progressing. You can see your goal at the top of the mountain, but not the tools that can get you there.
