Restore the Inner Child Inside of You
So That You Can Finally Create Fulfillment in Your Life
Are You Ready to be Entrefied?
Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up. -Pablo Picasso
I don’t expect anyone to like what I’m about to say but it’s time we wake up.
People always told me to grow up.
They say, “Enjoy these years while they last.”
Santa Claus isn’t real, movies aren’t real.
These same people now sit in traffic all day, drive a car with 80 payments left, have to ask permission to do anything from their boss like children, and could lose their job and “adult life” at any moment.
Then you have the 7-year-old, Ryan, on YouTube making 22 million a year reviewing toys. I don’t see his suit or degree.
He could buy everything you own and everything your “adult” life has stood for. Remember that next time you think your fancy title makes you better than everyone else.
Welcome to 2019 people, stop letting your dreams be memes.
I think I like the remaining childish option better.
We are so busy telling children all the negatives but what do we tell children IS possible?
Going to college, a good degree and a job are all people tell children. Take the “safe” route of relying on other people for your resources.
Now sometimes you may enjoy the career path or maybe your inner child dream is what you’re doing so this doesn’t pertain to you as much.
But most people are neglecting that childish side.
Imagine sitting on the floor with a child and asking them what they want to be when they grow up.
The child Johnny says, “I want to be an astronaut.” and the parents laugh and say that’s great and no one ever sends the kid to space camp or anything!
Imagine if Johnny said what you wanted him to say after you tell him all the negative, traditional thoughts that have been passed down to you after you gave up on your inner child years ago.
Johnny would say, “Mommy, I want to go $50,000 into student debt for a piece of paper that takes 40 years for me to pay off that probably will be useless and sit in traffic each day only to give away all of my freedom and dreams for a paycheck to spend on items that make me feel like I’m in control of my life while massive indebtedness prevents my sleep at night.”
That’s literally what people are pushing their child towards. I’ve been there.
They say the only way to be successful is to be a lawyer, doctor, or accountant.
These sad, false, realities keep getting passed down.
People who are rich are “Lucky”, so people tell their children.
When in reality, the parents have simply given up on their inner child and their dreams.
No one wants to put in the hard work.
I will explain.
I was 5 years old when I first realized my dream.
It was speaking to people and talking. Having an impact on someone's life through words.
How do I know?
I would take a box, put on a suit, and stand on the box with my purple microphone and use my hands to give speeches.
Weird huh. It’s like I knew what I wanted to be before I was even grown up.
There wasn’t a college curriculum I looked up, there wasn’t an internship I’d taken, I knew what I wanted to be almost instinctually.
No one had to tell me.
I then suppressed that want for 20 years because no one cared to help me get there.
Yet here I am.
I finally started writing, I started reading like crazy, I began speaking to people’s lives, and I am finally making an impact.
I’m not trying to get promoted for a few extra dollars to buy that new TV to watch the Super Bowl on while I make a company millions of dollars at the expense of my time and life.
It feels fantastic to begin my journey to fulfill my childhood passion. I feel more alive now than ever.
You CAN Do Anything
Let’s take a child who was recognized early on,
Judy Garland. Her parents moved to Hollywood after they saw her potential as a child and fostered it. This led to her being the star of The Wizard of Oz and a very successful actor.
Not every child will be wildly famous but assisting them in whatever they dream becomes so important for them later on.
How many people live today that haven’t fulfilled their childhood dreams?
Are you one of them?
Let’s say you wanted to be the king of a castle.
“But it’s not possible”
I know a place in Tennessee where a man lives in a castle and holds renaissance fairs.
HE BUILT A CASTLE BECAUSE IT WAS HIS DREAM. HE IS LITERALLY THE KING OF A CASTLE.
Anything is possible folks, stop lying to your inner child and children.
How to Identify Your Inner Child’s Dream
Adults are obsolete children.
What did you do as a child that you loved?
Think hard and long on your childhood.
Most of the time, you knew what you wanted to do or attain before you were even a teenager.
It doesn’t have to be a job or money, maybe you just wanted a super nice Hot Wheels car that always stuck out to you.
Or a horse.
You should go after these longings.
Whatever is it you want, imagine if a child asked you if they could accomplish it?
What would you tell that child if they wanted a horse? Be honest.
Your answer shows if you’ve given up.
Stop saying I can’t and start saying “How can I?”
Revive Your Inner Child
Man is most nearly himself when he achieves the seriousness of a child at play.
You need that inner child from within. You need to come to terms and achieve whatever it is you wanted as a child.
Did you want that specific breed of dog?
What about being a Pokémon trainer?
It’s all possible in one way or another.
The childlike dreams you’ve suppressed and inner child you hide is bad for you.
Children have no limitations that society places on us as we grow older. They are ambitious, and they speak their mind. They try to find alternate routes to paths we say No to. They are persistent. They don’t segregate.
Look at Sir Richard Branson.
The guy is 68 and I saw him parasailing a few days ago.
How many people will still be working to find their dreams or achieve that bucket list at 68?
What stops you from living now?
Show me a child that isn’t constantly happy and playing.
A child that isn’t loving life and smiling all the time.
We need this part of ourselves to stay truly alive.
We need to tell our children that they CAN create Facebook, that they CAN create Amazon, that they CAN win 5 gold Olympic medals for swimming, they CAN get a Lamborghini.
Stop being a grouch to your inner child and children around you.
Stop shooting dreams down because you aren’t living yours.
Maybe Santa is real.
You can be whatever it is you want to be.
