gave a talk on friday.. most important talk of my life (promised I would post it when it went live, here it is). for now its all that i can do to focus on one thing at a time, stay present with my breath, and remember that i choose adventure over safety.

left my salaried position with startup#9 to launch my own company. here is a “taste” of what I am up to next:

of course, i would love you to make a large or small donation: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/vrooom-vr-education#/

but this message is more an effort to reach out… connect for a hot moment about the real, pregnant, rich possibilities that both compress and expand me. i recently went through a mission|vision|values exercise and have been diving deeper into my own personal and professional needs. thought i would share some of what i landed on because this explains everything i have been through, everything i have chosen in the past and present, and will continue to define my new future:

Core Values:
· Integrity-All promises are big promises.
· Authenticity-We always reach for the genuine experience, action, or choice.
· People first, then projects-We understand that our relationships with people and communities are paramount to any project that we ever produce.
· Positive disruption in human evolution-We challenge all assumptions, from the way we build the business to the way we produce our work. Just because it was always done that way most likely means we will reinvent a new way!
· Unwavering pursuit for excellence-We address the small details because, to us, they are big details.

at the moment, i am waiting for one of the 4 job offers who reached out last week… as soon as i had decided to let go of the safe harbor of a salary. the irony is overplayed, but still hilarious! and, they are late. pshht! i wont be fooled by false gods.

next cut is to unplug from these thoughts that spin me down into negative, self-alienating actions. this morning i overheard myself saying “id rather be an introvert today and hole up on top of a mountain like a hermit.” this isnt my current luxury or work, though also frequently necessary.

the task list is laid out on 3x5 cards and its time to crank away.

godspeed to all!

Edit: Shortly after this post we branded the company, Better Than Unicorns, and have been building the story since then. Look for an update soon.
