If you were ever seeking the secret to being perfect then this is it;

Being perfect means accepting that not everything can be perfect

1/ Take joy from a small detail that was missed. That missed detail brings a new point of interest to the work.

The magic is in the mess – unknown

2/ Don’t hide behind the veil of perfectionism being the only way forward

Perfectionism is the smart persons version of procrastination – Adelle Ramcharan

3/ Accept the imperfections in others. These “flaws” make us unique. View these flaws as differentiators in a world of beige.

There is a crack in everything, that is how the light get’s in – Leonard Cohen

4/ Mistakes are key ingredients required to fuel personal growth. Embrace a mistake and then learn from it.

5/ The pursuit of perfection can envelop you with a fear of failing. Don’t let this get the better of you.

Attempt something new even though you know the outcome will be far from perfect.

Don’t aim for perfectionism, aim for better than yesterday – Ivey Victoria Odiase

Those you are close to will follow your lead. Support others who try something new even if they are terrible at it.

There’s no need to be perfect to inspire others. Let people get inspired by the way you deal with your imperfections – unknown

Make progress despite the outcome. Two steps forward followed by one step backward is better than no steps forward.

Continuous improvement is better than delayed perfection – Mark Twain

Accepting imperfection is the key to a perfect future.

In doing so you will not be constrained by the fear of failing or the fear of what others might think.

Instead you will be empowered to try, learn, grow and shine.

Make this the cycle of your life…

Try, learn, grow, shine. Repeat. Try, learn, grow, shine more. Repeat.

Enjoy the feeling of anticipation of what might come next.

And in doing so you are well on your way to becoming perfect.
