On being a grandmother mom

What I love most about being a grandmother is the old cliche — ‘I don’t have to change the diapers’. I find myself repeating it because it’s true. When my grandbabies poop their mommy’s swoop them away without hesitation. Still, the cliche holds more meaning. It’s short hand for saying I no longer have the responsibility.
