Waking Up

I’m a cat person, no I’m not overly attached to my mother.

I’ve begun a journey where I’m going to start digging deeper into my actual life and sharing my real life lessons that I actually live and breathe throughout the days.

Waking up was never a problem for a long time. I would be in bed around midnight or 1 am and be wide awake at 4 am ready to start the day.

What started happening was complacency. You see before I never really had a choice, I would have to wake up at 4, go to work, go to school, go to work, then be home and pretend to do homework, then go to sleep. This consumed 18–20 hours a day 7 days a week. It was forced because I had to go to work and make money and be there, and then I had to go to school too.

These last three weeks almost 4 weeks now I’ve been unemployed and spending all of my time starting my business. I’ve literally cut out 55–60 hours a week that I was spending at my job running a car dealership back in Illinois.

This literally made me lazy. I had no idea what to do with all this extra time. I figured I’d sleep in once and see what it was like. Relax, watch a movie, hangout and watch Netflix. It all sounded great. I needed a break, life was stressful.

Have you ever been there? Where you felt you deserved a break? Some time away? Because you absolutely do. Don’t get me wrong. Ever notice that waking up that Monday morning and getting back to work is a lot tougher than usual?

You started breaking your good habits. Which is okay… if you have the will power to get back into them.

You see, getting back into our good habits isn’t as hard as we make it out to be. We just have a big mental barrier we have to break down. A lot of what goes on in our life is mindset.

Our minds are powerful, and they really do control what we do. We have to tap into our minds in order to break free and really grind it out.

So stay strong, Wake up early, and keep those good habits flowing.
