He is a retired United States Navy SEAL and former United States Air Force Tactical Air Control Party member. He is an ultramarathon runner, ultra-distance cyclist, motivational speaker, and author. He completed 4,030 pull-ups in 17 hours, to break the world record at the time.

But, he wasn’t always like this.

Before having all of these phenomenal accomplishments under his belt, David Goggins had a tough life growing up surrounded in a very rough environment, getting beaten up by his father, having learning disabilities, getting bullied in school, and living in fear.

In the 1990s, after spending four years in the Air Force, Goggins had fallen in a zone of comfort, weighing 300 lbs, quitting the Air Force, and started working for a company called Eco-lab where he sprayed for cockroaches.

Then, everything changed.

Goggins decided to change his life and become a Navy Seal. He had enough cockroaches in his life. As he had to make the weight limit to be eligible to join the Navy Seal class, he became obsessed with training and doing everything possible to…
