Your Body Is Trying To Tell You Something

Kriya is a sanskrit word for an outward physical manifestation arising from an inner change in your body. This means whatever your body is experiencing on the inside, good or bad, it will come out physically.

In Kriya yoga, the yogi purposefully creates this change, in order to increase their energy flow. The practice uses a breathing technique to let go of internal stagnation of emotions. This creates spontaneous body movements to awaken the kundalini.

If you’re not a yogi and don’t actively use this technique to rid yourself of negativity, your body will do it for you anyway.

Think of something you do to your body, such as sitting too long, and how it affects you inside; the muscles overstretch or remain in a state of contraction. They fatigue and weaken, causing atrophy or inflammation. This internal imbalance will eventually reveal itself into a physical problem: back pain.

This signal from your body shows what you’re doing is off-balance, and needs to be corrected.

What usually happens when a person has back pain? They stop doing what is giving them the pain. They get up and stretch, move around, or rest, take some anti-inflammatories, and apply ice…anything to help get rid of the pain. They are listening to their body telling them they’re off balance, and working to…
