Billions Pilot Doesn’t Disappoint

So I had a chance to catch Showtime’s new series Billions which stars former Homeland hero turned terrorist, Damian Lewis and Paul Giamatti who played Jerry Heller in the Oscar nominated, Straight Outta Compton.

Damian Lewis plays self-made Wall Street billionaire Bobby Axelrod, who owns one of the most successful hedge funds in the business. A man that people hate to love due to the fact that he gives so much to the people of New York but at the same time flashes his wealth by making outlandish purchases, like an 83 million dollar beach house.

Paul Giamatti plays Chuck Rhodes, a hard ass U.S. District Attorney that has perfect 81–0 record against white collar criminals and is waiting for an opportunity to bust Axelrod.

I know that so far only one episode has aired but you can feel the tension rise between these two characters and a lot of people will get caught in the crossfire. Both have something to lose, Bobby has his wealth and freedom at stake. Chuck on the other hand has his perfect record and his wife at stake. Once you watch the show it will all come together for you.
