Two Puppies
We have these two kids — two pups that love each other so much.
Today, we went and adventured together. The Connecticut air was chilly for my California-leaning bones — but it was beautiful.
The sky was blue, and these life-filled pups said hello to every human and dog they met.
Their joy is exhilarating. Watching them learn new lessons and experience new places is fascinating.
At the dog park, they”re learning to not be scared of dogs three times their size… how to fetch… how to negotiate.
Our little guy Henry warms other dogs” hearts by licking their noses right away. He’s learned that’s a better tactic than falling on his back — legs up to the sky in submission.
They”we reminding me to be more in the moment — to be kinder — and free.
I’ve studied them closely and have concluded that these creatures are definitely messengers sent to calm us humans and support our journeys.
I watch people as they pass them on the sidewalk — the child within comes alive and hearts melt.
They laugh and smile. For a second they are free from whatever concerns they harbor.
Such a pair these pups are.
