New year, new challenge!!

This month TBI kicks off

Thrifty Words’ new monthly 100 Word Theme Challenge.

100 Words is identical to 50 words but for one major difference, it appears monthly instead of weekly. The theme challenge will come out on the 1st of every month. You’ll have the entire month to write your story in exactly 100 words. Each story (remember, just one story per writer per month will make it into the roundup, so make it a good one) will be rounded up and published on the 1st of the following month.

Marla Bishop did an excellent job closing out the year with the last 50 words theme challenge Closure. I swear we didn’t even talk about it first.

The inaugural theme challenge is 100 Words-100years.

2020 was a shit year for so many reasons. Not least, the Covid 19 pandemic that killed 1.8 million people globally. The U.S. Senate acquitted Donald Trump of impeachment charges. Oil Prices Tanked. The murder by cops of George Floyd, Trayvon Martin, Tamir Rice, and Breonna Taylor sparked protests across the United States and the world. A worldwide shortage of toilet paper. Brexit happened, as did Megxit. Kim Jong Un missed a major North
