Black Wives Matter
His words touch my heart

He can be clumsy and oafish
A real man’s man
caps left off the toothpaste,
lids from tea and coffee canisters,
Toilet seat up, socks everywhere
and milk forgotten out again
Annoying as hell to
a woke woman who prides
her feminism and other isms
which take her on trips
across London in support
of the underdog
But today his words
touch my heart as I head off
to a Black Lives Matter
demo in our local park
“Take care and remember,
to me Black Wives Matter.”
