What Happens When You Run Away With Your Lover
When is it a good idea to run away with your lover? I would argue, almost never.
I’m a cheater and a liar. So are you. What makes you think we would be great together? Actual life has a way of making trust a central component of marriage.
I don’t trust myself, let alone you.
After every inevitable argument, I would look for a way out. Pulling up “secret apps” on my phone, trying to find another partner who says the right things.
“What do you need?” a potential lover texts.
I need adoration. And in a normal relationship that is scarce. All those giddy over the moon feelings fade fast. Partnerships soon dissolve into the drudgery of life.
“What are you doing around here?”
“Who is making dinner?”
“Can you please go grocery shopping?”
“Do I have to do everything?”
The endless cycle of chores and bills.
Nothing is sexy about the mundane.
With your lover it would dissolve into a routine. It might take a little longer for it to happen…
