I’m consumed by guilt. I was in a bad mood. I wrote a very nasty news column about a billionaire I detest. Twelve hours later a tropical island near the Bahamas was obliterated by a hurricane’s storm surge.

It was completely my fault. I was told it’s the butterfly effect.

(Maybe this really happened and maybe it didn’t.)
