Have The Baby

And I will help you every day you need me to

Have the baby

and i will help you

every day you need me to

were the magic words

which convinced me

to go forward with

my pregnancy and bring forth

my first-born

I had chosen

not to have the

Baby I was pregnant with before

It didn’t feel safe

to bring a child into the

relationship I was in

at the time

And I wanted to study more

I chose to go to university

Instead of becoming a mother

Fiveish years later

with my studies complete and

a safe space to live in

I faced the dilemma again

Have the baby

and i will help you

every day you need me to
