Have You Thanked Your Postal Carrier Today?
I have
I have wonderful postal carriers.
Smitty, who retired a decade ago, thanked me for raising such a thoughtful son. “That path makes my job so much easier.”
During winter months, my son shoveled a path between our house and the neighbors. Once he moved out, we kept up the tradition.
My son learned thoughtfulness from watching our former neighbor (Jeff) shovel around his daughters’ car — in the street and on the passenger side.
Our next postal worker was short.
A big snowfall is treacherous. Who knows where the steps are and what is still slippery under all that fluff? We kept the path clear for her too.
If she could see our newspaper on the driveway. She brought it up when she had mail to deliver.
They just tripled the size of our new carrier’s route.
The man walks faster than I can jog. I bet he’d qualify for Olympic Race Walking.
