I dropped a girl for dry texting
Alright, I got a story for y'all!
After a group hangout session at the mall, I started to get a little close with one of the girls that were there. I’ll admit she was pretty attractive so I was definitely feeling her. But your boy has been around the block. I may be in high school but I know how to play the game if you know what I mean. So after we hung out, 2 days later, she texted me saying that it would be really cool if we talked more.
Haha yep, I was in there, trying to play it cool, I of course said “Yeah that would be cool”, while in my head, I was definitely planning out the next two years of our relationship. Not sure if all guys do this but that’s definitely what I do. Now keep in mind a girl making the first move is pretty rare. So naturally, my ego went through the roof and my confidence in this being a successful relationship was pretty high.
So now I was getting kind of hype, I mean a girl putting effort to get with me, was a rare thing, especially a cute one. So I knew if I fucked this one up, it would be on me.
Like I said earlier, your boy has been around the block. Even though I was excited, I played it cool. After she texted me, I waited a whole 2 days to start actually talking. She might’ve gotten frustrated, but, no way I’m going to let her think I’m into her. That's how you play the game. However, when I did text back I came with energy. We were on Snapchat of course, so I put my face in the background so that way she would know I’m putting in effort even though it took me 2 days to start up a conversation.
I think we had a good little conversation, talked about some serious stuff, joked around a little bit. I mean I was leveling up in the game. By the end, it was getting late so I called it a night. I’d say things went well, so I’m by now I’m still pretty confident.
So next day comes along and I was about to send a little good morning text, but remember your boy has been around the block. I wanted to keep her on her toes so I waited. Turns out she doesn’t start anything and we’re on to the next day.
Here’s where things get tricky. Sometime around the afternoon, I shoot that high energy whats up text, put a little selfie thing in it, and we're rolling. Then I get a “nothing”, no background, no “not much”, just nothing, plain and simple. I mean it’s only the beginning, so I keep the energy up asking how it’s going. I guess she was about to take a nap so I get why she’s a little dry. I can tell she doesn’t have anything to say, so I try to start up a conversation with a few topics. Then I’m hit again with one-word answers and dry responses for the rest of the night. So I call it a day thinking she’s probably just tired, whatever.
Next day rolls along and I'm thinking I've played the game long enough maybe we should bump it up a level. So I text her the very next day in the afternoon. Not crazy energy but enough to get an energetic response. She responds with the same dry ass energy as yesterday and at the end I say goodnight and she doesn’t even say goodnight back. Now I'm getting paranoid. Did I do something wrong? Is she no longer interested? All that confidence I had is depleted.
Then I remembered something. She made the first move with me why the fuck would she not be interested. I'm starting to get pissed off. Then I realized something.
Maybe she’s just a dry person. Maybe that’s just her personality. I can’t be sure that’s true, but, if it is true, I might as well end it here. I’m not going to put in effort to somebody only for it to be ignored. Nope, if that’s how she is, it wouldn’t have worked out anyway. So I gave her one more chance to show effort.
After the last dry day, I stopped texting her hoping she would initiate the conversation again. Just as I guessed she never did. Now I’m not exactly sure what happened, maybe she got bored, or stopped liking me, but, if the girl I was talking to ever reads this, your lack of effort broke our conversations, just keep that in mind for the next guy.
And that’s the end. Thanks for reading this guys make sure you check out some of my other stories and if you want more stories like this, leave a comment and a clap. Bye!
