100 WORDS
I Have More Active Neurons Than there are People On This Planet and it Makes Me Feel Superior which is the Truth
Thrifty Words 100 Challenge #6: Entitlement
People read my writings and proclaim me entitled. I get called a racist by readers in Medium! Americans don’t realize that where I live I’m called extraño. Which is Spanish for stranger, or the only white guy in the village.
I do have entitlement. I’ve earned it. It’s particularly hard as I age and senility creeps in. Plus having had covid-brain murkiness I’ve felt at times that my intellectual life might be ended.
There’s a lady psychologist who says “a situational rush of entitlement can be a good thing; it can increase creativity and lead to novel, unusual solutions.”
That’s what 100 words amount to — what you just read. Not 99 or 101 words, 100 exactly. It’s tricky writing to do. I admire writers who can make it sound smooth. Not counting poets, who truly kick ass in these 50 or 100 word challenges.
