Summer’s Coming Soon To A Day Near You
I promise, it really is
If you live in a temperate climate as I do in the United Kingdom, you may find yourself spending an inordinate amount of time looking at weather forecasts and praying for sunshine.
At least I do.
Honestly, I am so bored of asking my device what the temperature is, or whether it’s gonna rain before I plan my day.
I’d love to be one of those people who enjoy the day whatever the sky is doing. Alas, no — I’m a sun worshipper.
That’s why I’m so grateful summer is due to arrive in around three week’s time.
Finger’s crossed.
What do while we’re waiting? Read — of course.
Can you believe what’s just gone down in an American court? Melissa R. Mendelson has a view.
Father’s Day Writing Challenge
With Father’s day is coming up for those of us who live in the UK, Canada, Republic of Ireland, and the Netherlands I thought it a good moment to suggest a fatherhood writing theme. Whether you’re celebrating on June 16th or not, you’re invited to submit an article, story, poem — or whatever creative form you fancy — about your daddy. In no less than 100 — but no more than 1,000 — words. Submissions by June 16th please.
