The guy who took himself seriously.
Karma is a bitch
There was a guy — let’s call him Tony - who took himself seriously. Anything he did was serious. Any decision he made was thought through and any action he took-was analysed to the bitter end. He never made mistakes. All mistakes were made by someone else. Tony liked to blame others. He was perfect. If anything went against his plan, he knew that it was someone else's fault.
Tony had no weaknesses. He slept little and worked a lot. There are perfect drugs to keep Tony awake. He would use them daily. One pill in the morning, two in the late afternoon, and one at night.
Tony was rich. Tony couldn't stand people who wasted their time on trivial things. Tony believed that money-making is the most important thing in human existence. He was sure that capitalism was the only system which pushes humanity forward.
“Losers need to stay behind”, he used to say. Tony didn’t have time for disadvantaged people. “They need to go and die” he joked with his friends. He didn't hate them, he just thought that humanity needed strong, determined people, with no place for the sick and poor.
Tony woke up in a hospital ward. He didn’t remember how or why he got there. The doctor told him that he had a tumor in his brain. A little tumor, but deep down, and they won’t be able to take it out.
While Tony was in a hospital his friends took over his business. They left him with almost nothing except a small house next to the water treatment plant, a little bit of money in a bank account and a card. The card read:
“Losers need to stay behind!”
