They Can’t Kill us All

Wisdom from the plant kingdom.

The Bad Influence

--

In the darkness that would
rob us of our future,
hearts become pens,
scribbling stories in blood.

Plowing through danger after danger,
our strong roots burrow deeper
with each deadly blow. Instead of dying,
we morph into a forest of mighty oaks,
victorious in our resistance,
ebullient in our resilience.

Marilyn Flower writes political humor and satire to delight socially and spiritually conscious folks. Clowning and improvisation strengthen her resolve during these crazy times.
