We Take the Night Streets

Do we have to break things to get your attention?

In the night streets
reminding a nation —
BLACK LIVES MATTER.
Marching sisters n brothers
side by side, 6 feet apart,
masked and dangerous —
or so they say. They being
the police and their henchmen,
sparing for a fight,
marching peacefully 1 minute,
& next, they’ve formed tight lines
pushing us back… we’re waving our permits…
