Slaves to the Machines
Through the stories “The Veldt” and “There will Come Soft Rains” robots take center stage. These stories demonstrate the ever increasing dependency humanity has on our robotic creations. Some may say that the rise of the robots is far in the future, but it is present in our lives in this day. Who is ever with out there iphone or computer any more? When do you see a child not glued to a screen anymore? As parents have gotten some rest now that tablets and phone will keep their children quite and entertained. The machines are not invading our lives, we are giving ourselves to them. Hopefully, we don’t become so dependent on them that we stop being able to function in the real world with out our cybernetic friends. But until that day I will happily enjoy every bit of technology I have.Through the stories “The Veldt” and “There will Come Soft Rains” robots take center stage.
