Overwhelmed

I sat down

overwhelmed

with turbulence of upcoming obligations and never-ending tasks

Overcasting the light of freedom that drives away to my deepest passion

Awakened by doubt and uncertainty of my own ability

Will I be able to deliver?

Could I weigh myself in balance?

Yet times like these

I looked into the mirror

and remind myself

the reason of my existence

to seek Allah’s pleasure

for only through His love and the right intention

I can truly be at ease.
