The fear crippled my mind,
My body jumped upon each chime.
The door was closed,
But my heart was exposed
And nothing was there to stop them.

They knew not what they were doing,
Love was the only precursor;
But upon my breast they were tattooing
The mark of a failed nurture.

If someone is different,
He is not wrong or ignorant.
To lead is to love
Not to force by blood,
Yet he demands change, fixing, remixing.

Leave me be,
Let me go.
For when I am free
I can finally grow.
