‘’The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members.’’ — Coretta Scott King

You know, there are a lot of cool places in Groningen city. Communities like The Big Building, breeding grounds like Backbone 050, innovative student hotspots like Start-up City, network associations like the JCC, workplaces like Launch Café, incubators like Indietopia and many more.

In my opinion, in a community, everyone is equally responsible for the success of the community as a whole. I strongly believe in the fact that if we work together, consciously, towards a stronger and more connected entrepreneurial ecosystem in Groningen, we all win.

To lead by example, The Big Building and the JCC organised an event on Friday October 13 where all previously mentioned places could get together, meet and enjoy themselves. We created a programme where attendees alternated between fun activities and workshops; a playground for grown-ups. The result? See for yourself! (Big thanks to Ismaël • Filmmaker)

The goal of this event was to start a process where as a result more and more individuals in the city of Groningen start thinking about how we can bring together the different entrepreneurial places. The energy and enthusiasm that people had during the event was great. A very nice evening and a good first attempt to bring together enterprising people in the city of Groningen!
