The Week To Be In Crypto [8/6/18]
Market Overview
Just when you think we are in the clear another shakeout rears its ugly head. Once again it is in the face a flood of positive news. Its just a waiting game right now,
Small caps are going to continue to fall until some more fiat can flow into BTC/ETH triggering a run and then some trickle down. There are very few tokens/coins that can reliably be looked at in terms of dollar price. Finding projects that will be successful in the long term right now will lead to very good returns but most of these projects wont be successful so…….
What Im Buying
I participated in the FOAM TGE last week. No new coins on my radar this week. Sitting in BTC/ETH/Fiat is all good, trading to trade is never a good idea. If your trading finger is feeling itchy MET, 0x, NIO, SPANK, POLY, RMESH are looking good here and have some activity going on. Im going to work on a way to better show what I hold but would buy more of if some ETH/BTC freed up vs what I am just holding/selling for future weeks.
Full disclosure, I have a pretty hefty NIO bag. If they meet a fraction of their goals I feel pretty good that there will be a good return on the current price. I am very close to the project and seems are starting to move. Worth checking out.

Keeping an eye on this:
It doesn’t necessarily set a precedent for all future crypto buyouts/mergers/acquisitions but I think we are going to see more of this in the future. There are a large number of projects and only a small number of them will be successful in the long term. Crypto projects also, more than traditional ventures, rely on their community and networks. An acquisition of a competitors network can be boon for a project but if they piss that network off the gains are diminished.
Also, the first time I have a seen a project de-list itself. The theme of projects sticking to their guns when it comes to taking actions aligned with their stated objectives is pretty nice to see. We will see if it helps them be successful in the long run.
