The Week To Be In Crypto [9/4/2018]

Market Overview

There has definitely been a shift in sentiment towards the bullish side over the past week. Bitcoin has been gradually moving up while some smaller cap coins/tokens have been popping here and there. We are getting close to the time last year when the last crazy run kicked off, could the market cycles be as dumb as just time of the year?

Bitcoin

I don’t talk about bitcoin much but the more I read and listen about the space and how its progressing I would say I am leaning closer to bitcoin maximalism than I am away from it. It will take a long time to get there but its looking like a lot of these projects will be testing grounds for features that will eventually be consumed by bitcoin. The lightning network crossed 100BTC capacity and there aren’t many features I can think of that couldn't either be…..

1. Added to bitcoin
2. Handled off chain with lightning-type transactions and bitcoin settlement

That being said it is going to take a long time to get there and, from the investing side, there will be many opportunities to ride the wave of a successful project and multiply your BTC.

What I’m Buying

REN Mainnet will be released by the end of the month. If the product works and there is as much demand for dark pools in crypto as I think there will there should be pretty good returns running a dark node. I will be setting up a test node this week so I am ready to roll when mainnet is released.

I like projects actually shipping product and have the potential for earning. If the market IS turning around, exchange tokens (BN, KCS, AURA, IDXM, BCO) are also probably decent places to park some assets as increased prices will bring more investors and dramatic volume increases.
