Shattered Reflections
A chilling exploration of a broken mind seeking revenge through the emotional suffering of others.
Dive into the dark psyche of a character who, scarred by past trauma, finds sadistic pleasure in causing emotional pain. This poem, "Shattered Reflections," offers a disturbing yet profound glimpse into the cyclical nature of abuse and the twisted paths it can lead to. Through vivid imagery and raw emotion, the poem confronts the reader with the unsettling reality of a soul consumed by revenge and the haunting echoes of a tormented past.
I’m sorry, not sorry, for the pain I’ve caused,
Seeing them suffer brings me joy, no pause.
Their anguish is my addictive delight,
Watching them fall, losing their prime, feels right.
My obsession with their suffering is clear,
I relish the moment they draw near.
Like Don Juan, I leave a sorrowful trail,
Once they know me, their hope turns pale.
"Henry, why can’t you love me?" one cries,
Sacrificing herself, her heart’s demise.
My pleasure peaks as I break her mind,
Pushing her to the edge, leaving compassion behind.
Love doesn’t interest me; I was once enslaved,
A dominatrix broke me, a thousand days depraved.
Now I pledge to break a thousand hearts,
For the innocent are always the psychopath’s marks.
Society judges and feminists condemn,
But it's their beliefs that fuel my mayhem.
Their ideologies mirror my dominatrix’s mark,
Leaving an impact, a shadow in the dark.
I’ve conquered twenty, and two have taken their lives,
Yet it's not enough; my mission survives.
I swear to reflect my pain, no longer hide,
With new forms of suffering, their souls I'll divide.
The world will see me as misogynistic,
But my past enslavement remains mystic.
How they judge me, I don’t care,
In their dark history, my mark will be there.
