Truth

warm but destructive

Truth be told.
But lies are so comforting
one on top of other, stacked carefully
sleeping beneath the comfort
made of patches and stitches
An additional hand in support
creeps in and grows around
making truth completely invisible
recasting overshadows

When the wound is surrendered
it is cut and slit- open
to show the agony caused
inner complexities
sugar coated cubes of poison
and a hope for truth be told
but again disoriented
stitched and closed

What lies beyond is an adventure
you would escape any day but flip
An amateur
Some may walk out of their own skin
pretend to have forgotten all
Morons

The simplest escape seems
seeking truth,
from ascendants to descendants
giving history a pinch of honesty
and display of bravery and courage

Truth is like el nino,
Warm but destructive.
You deny the existence
and question the validity
Sweeping stains and wiping tears
truth stands alone and feeble.
Stashed beneath the power of
blind faith and support — family
fear, money and society

Authors’s Note: Every lie isn’t harmless and every truth isn’t helpful.
