Social media has evolved into a hub for creatives to share their gifts and passions with viewers worldwide. Many groups of creators have been given their flowers for consistently creating inspiring and uplifting work. A group worthy of this praise are the Black men content creators who work diligently to produce work like fashion, lifestyle, and cooking. Black men have long been subjected to stereotypes of laziness and pigeonholed to careers that stifle creativity. Despite these labels, many Black male creators using social media platforms like Instagram to combat these stereotypes. Here are five Black Men creators to watch and support!
Carlos Harris Jr.
New Jersey-based content creator, Carlos Harris, is all things uplifting and inspirational. The young entrepreneur posts daily routine content that makes you want to get up and get your life together. Harris’ editing style aligns with his love for music and overall content creation, and it is something that he will not give up to fit in. In one Instagram post about denying a sponsored post due to his editing style, Harris wrote, “Here’s a video campaign I had to terminate because I couldn’t use my music selection,” said Harris. “…I’m never sacrificing my creativity for a dollar amount.”
Daniel Williams
Self-taught chef, Daniel Williams, has built his social empire off of his simple and effective slogan, “First, We Vibe”. Williams’ passion for music, food, and cannabis has made a perfect combination on his social platforms. With each post, he presents mouth-wateringly delicious recipes as he appears to move about the kitchen with ease. In each video, he smokes, plays a new album on his record player, and makes a brilliant meal with the occasional dog treat for our four-legged friends! Williams’ consistency in presenting his three passions is comforting and keeps his viewers wanting more.

Oliver Brilliant, also known as @je.suis.oliver, is a dancer with a passion for fashion. Both of his loves find a perfect balance in his videos as he choreographs his transitions between outfits. He is known for his “Date Outfit” videos. As he vibes to the music and perfectly edits outfit changes, viewers cannot help but vibe with him while also finding new ways to style their own pieces. Oliver also has a continuing series called “Monochrome Mondays” giving both consistency and anticipation to his content.
