This discussion centers on the recent redevelopment efforts of the Denver Public Housing Authority (DHA). Over the past 7 years, DHA has pursued a redevelopment practice that centers on community engagement and health, with positive results. However, many of Denver’s residents struggle with access to healthy and affordable housing. Three experts — Megan Haberle, Lisa Bates, and Brian D. Smedley — reflect on the strength of DHA’s efforts, and what else a booming city needs to provide safe, stable, and affordable housing to all of its residents.
