Public health practitioners can make a case for safe, stable, affordable housing, but in the field, the conversation has largely gone dormant. This discussion draws on the expertise of the Alameda County Department of Public Health and three experts — Miriam Zuk, Megan Sandel, and Deborah Thrope. It portrays the health effects of unstable housing along with the strategies public health practitioners and health system leaders can use to develop a comprehensive housing practice.
