I kicked booze over 7 years ago. It whipped me. It whipped me good.

But, booze doesn’t hold a fucking candle to food.

Food has taken me behind the woodshed and kicked my ass for well over a decade. No matter what I try (and I’ve tried it all) I can’t seem to get a grip on my relationship with food. Not even applying the same twelve steps that helped deliver me from booze.

Food is the most seductive of sirens.

Food is the cruelest of tormentors.

Insidious, cunning, baffling, and all powerful — food is a motherfucker.

And it’s got my number for sure.
