Thus, we decided to publish a three-part guide to help get you on the right track this Valentine’s Day: we’re calling it Bloveit’s “Pick & Pair” Valentine’s Day Special.

In this three-part special, we decided to showcase our favorite date night pairings that we think will make for a great Valentine’s Day this year. We chose three neighborhood clusters in Atlanta and for each cluster we selected one “main event” — where to start the night — and two “encores” — follow up date ideas to the main event.
This guide is by no means a comprehensive representation of the best date ideas in the city — that’s what the Bloveit app is for ;). Dinner is over and it’s time for a palette cleanser. White walls, white tiles but colors emerge from the freezers bearing tempting flavors like brambleberry crisp and lavender. Eyebrows furrow and thoughts pop as to which flavors will complement the evening. Your date asks what you’ll have, obviously fishing for insights for a strategic plea. You can’t decide between brown butter brittle and salted caramel, but you’re interrupted by her fearless suggestion: “splitsies”. Not a banana split, but a way to get the most of this visit even though you know you’ll be back again soon.

Even though dinner is now over, the night feels young, and you’ve finally found someone who enjoys board games more than flashing lights and a heavy bass, and you’re not letting them get away that easy. Enter the most lively neighborhood pub tucked away in the heart of West Midtown. There’s a whole corner couch and bookshelf dedicated to the classics from Jenga to Candyland, and a beer selection that won’t take “wine” for an answer. Your date disappears downstairs and it’s like a blast from the past: bocce ball, shuffleboard and ski ball. You look to your date and all you can think is “game on”.

Though each of these three spots sit in the West Midtown neighborhood, they’re convenient for walking and short Uber or Lyft trips. They’re also all in Bloveit’s repertoire of favorite Atlanta date night spots.
