We’re pleased to announce that Bluzelle is now production-ready to be used as a data cache — we call this the Bluzelle Data Delivery Network (DDN). Currently Bluzelle is giving greater than 30x the performance of the leading data cache solution in the world.

Introducing the Bluzelle Data Delivery Network

Software applications today target global audiences, but data is stored and managed from technology built over ten years ago — before the explosion of smart devices. Consumers demand applications be fast, available and secure. As recent data breaches from the world’s biggest companies show, this demand is not being met.

By combining blockchain and edge computing technologies, we are revolutionising the way data is managed.

Traditionally a data cache requires setting up servers one at a time in one or more regions. We changed all this by creating a network of decentralized servers around the world for customers that is pre-deployed and auto-managed. Similar to how a content delivery network (CDN) like Cloudflare pushes web content to the edge, we push data to edge closest to the end customer. In doing so we are able to meet Bluzelle’s product objectives:

  1. Deliver data faster than any other solution
  2. Give developers the assurance their data is alway available
  3. Provide security and trust that customer data cannot be tampered with.

Bluzelle is Feature Complete

We provided a sneak peak of Bluzelle as a cache in early April, since then we hardened the code base and can now offer customers the following:

  • Read performance speeds of greater than 30x of Redis — the global leader
  • Write updates sync to all nodes around the world in under a second
  • Global availability through 25+ data centers
  • Works with any existing database type including SQL and NoSQL
  • Language support for Javascript, C++ and Python
Bluzelle Dashboard shows how its delivering player game data to Singapore in 19 milliseconds vs Redis who takes 723 milliseconds. Bluzelle is more than 30X faster.

Getting Started With Bluzelle

Bluzelle is well suited for video game and media streaming businesses. We are currently selecting companies to use the service before it goes wide release.

For developers who want to use the test version of Bluzelle, you can continue to do so.

Our Next Steps

Thanks to everyone’s support so far in getting a product ready for use. This is just the first step in building out a faster and more secure internet. Expect more deliverables in the next few months:

  • We are actively building partnerships that can benefit from our services. We will keep our community informed in all our channels.
  • We are launching a series of webinars that will explore topics of decentralized technologies, edge computing and data.
  • We have planned initiatives to reward and engage our community members after this release. More details will be announced.
