Bluzelle Upgrades to a Layer One Blockchain to bring GameFi to Cosmos!
Team Bluzelle is proud to announce that the long-awaited Bluzelle network LaunchPad to Stargate upgrade was completed on February 1, 2023!
Marching towards a Future of IBC (Inter-Blockchain Communication)
This upgrade allows the Bluzelle blockchain to connect with any other blockchains in the Cosmos ecosystem using the first-ever standard protocol IBC that facilitates inter-blockchain communication seamlessly. This inter-communication enables the tokens of each chain to travel through multiple blockchain, breaking its native confinements.
It means BLZ token holders can now move their tokens to and from our blockchain and Osmosis. Users can also trade BLZ tokens against any other tokens (USDC, ATOM, etc.) or move them onto Ethereum without any delays or hassles of our centralized bridge.
We will shortly release an in-depth tutorial on the entire process of using Osmosis (via IBC) and how to move tokens to and from Ethereum in the coming weeks.
What this means for Bluzelle and the Community:
A. State Sync
Unlike previously experienced delays, new nodes and chain synchronization can be achieved in as little as an hour of time without any complicated processes with our new state synchronization technology.
B. Automatic Upgrades
Upgrades are as fast as lightning now, as the new Stargate upgrades bestows our blockchain with exponential speed. It facilitates upgrades from a previous version of our chain to a new version in a few minutes.
C. Full-Featured Light Clients
Now build apps and devices without breaking a sweat, just use light clients that have all security of a full node.
D. Transition from Amino to Protobuf
Protocol Buffers (a free & open-source, cross-platform data format for serializing structured data) by Google is a standard enabling Cosmos developers to build blockchains with far greater efficiency. It also offers support for a wide variety of languages.
Our Starchain Apps
Users need not worry about migrating their accounts from our previous version of the chain to the new one. All the existing accounts on our previous chain are intact and on the new chain. Here’s a list of several key apps to interact with and view your accounts:
1. Big Dipper: We have upgraded to a written version of BigDipper, which is far faster, cleaner, and user-friendly. You can check your account balance and other important details in the same way as before.

2. Ping Pub: it’s a new addition to the Bluzelle family that replaces the previous Bluzelle staking wallet. Ping Pub, too, runs on SSL to ensure maximum industry-standard privacy and security.

3. Keplr: Another new addition to the Bluzelle family, Keplr, is a Chrome extension just like Metamask. It allows users to import their existing mnemonic phrases and then use Keplr to manage their accounts. No need to own and manage, and input mnemonics everytime you want to use your account. This addition helps you get rid of all such hassles.

Account Upgrade Process
Bluzelle’s new account model is bringing a great user experience for all. It includes a few additions to Bluzelle that makes old Bluzelle accounts more efficient and seamless.
This transition is designed meticulously for the ecosystem and community growth and requires every member to upgrade their existing (legacy) account from the old network to the new account.
New apps and Bluzelle products launching soon will be accessible by the community only with the new account types. Thus, it is advisable to upgrade your accounts as soon as possible and get ready to use our three upcoming applications. It’s NOT a time-bound upgrade, and users can do it at their convenience.
