March To Mainnet: Progress Update

Where We Are Now With Mainnet & Staking, More New Features

All BLZ Soldiers,

On 20th of August, we launched Phase 1 Soft Mainnet. Bluzelle is the FIRST to build a fully functional Ethereum-Cosmos relayer and make it go live. This allows the smooth conversion between our ERC20 BLZ and native tokens. All members who participated in soft mainnet enjoyed more than 25% APY.

Since we were the first public chain to use Cosmos’ latest version, more security testing needed to be done. That’s why we are rolling out to the full Mainnet carefully, and the schedule is flexible.

Two weeks into Soft Mainnet, and we have received a lot of great feedback from the community regarding new features, better user experience, and third-party support.

We are going to release a new important feature on our staking dashboard soon! This will allow our participants to earn an even higher return (MUCH MORE than 25%) by staking BLZ!

Also we have updated our plan, to incorporate some of the feedback. Below is an update on what is coming next.

Soft Mainnet Phase — Live

Currently, members can convert BLZ to BNT tokens through our staking dashboard. The relayer was run by the Bluzelle team manually, therefore most of the participants had to wait a few hours for their native tokens to arrive in the Bluzelle wallet.

In coming days, the relayer will become autonomous. This means that once your Ethereum transaction is successful, the relayer will automatically run, and your native tokens will arrive in your wallet within 2–3 minutes, without the longer waits.

Transition Phase

Our production mainnet will be a hard fork from the soft mainnet. Those who participated in the soft mainnet will need to get back their tokens (including rewards), so as to re-stake on the production mainnet. This transition period will give enough time for everyone to get prepared. During this phase, the soft mainnet participants would need to perform two important steps on different dates:

• Start unbonding your tokens from soft mainnet and go through the 21 days unbonding period. During the unbonding period, you will still earn daily rewards based on your participation before unbonding.
• Once your tokens are unbonded, you can convert back your soft mainnet tokens to ERC20 BLZ. Similar to what you experienced to acquire native from BLZ, the relayer from native to ERC20 token will be run manually by the team at first, and you can expect several hours of delay in receiving your ERC20 BLZ in your Ethereum wallet.

Once we are ready to transit, we will provide the window for members to perform these actions. We will notify all our community members through our Telegram Channel so please do follow our announcements.

Full Production Mainnet

This will be a hard fork to a new “hard mainnet” network, which is a different chain from the soft mainnet. There will be strict slashing conditions and penalties, and a more updated version of COSMOS + Tendermint.

Everyone on the soft mainnet can switch to and stake in the production mainnet.
