Pavel: Thanks for having me.

Groot: It’s our pleasure to have you. Let’s begin with the intro, Can you please share your position and day to day work at Bluzelle

Pavel: I’m the CEO and Co-founder of Bluzelle. I take care of branding, marketing, and product design. The non-technical parts. ;)

Groot: Thank you, Pavel. You’ve been working for 2+ years already, experienced. Can you please share highlights of Bluzelle developments over the years?

Pavel: It’s been an exciting 2 years. Congrats to everyone who has stuck it through crypto winter. You are strong willed for doing so.

Most of the two years was in deep development and experimenting and discovering new technologies.

The biggest highlights were (1) moving to Cosmos and Tendermint. It helped solve a some challenges and made us stronger. It opens us up to be interoperable with all blockchains. That way anyone who is building on any chain, will be able to use us.

(2) Launching our Swarm of Duty campaign. It was our incentivized testnet program and brought us a lot of developers to start building. We have a chat app, mobile wallets, notary app, and more coming

(3) Having a validator competition that brought out some of the highest numbers for a blockchain. Over 200 participated. They helped us test and even discover a major bug in cosmos. Even Cointelegraph wrote about it

Biggest highlights still to come.

Groot: Very few projects actually worked in crypto winter. Appreciate your works. All the very best to most and more.

Community member: After Mainnet, how do you see Bluzelle develop in terms on mainstream adoption? Do you plan to present data storage Bluzelle project to big companies such as Amazon, Alibaba, Walmart and big retail companies? What is the main asset of Bluzelle when trying to convince these 3 big companies (and others) to try Bluzelle and work with you?

Pavel: The biggest thing to show those companies is that decentralization is the future! Cloudflare went down today and a big part of the internet wasn’t available. Thousands of companies are on Cloudflare including Discord, League of Legends & Shopify. Everyone uses the same companies. If decentralized your site won’t go down. Thats what we tell the big companies. They need to partner with us.

Community member: Does Bluzelle provides data services to private companies? What’s the cost of implementation? How secure you keep our data from attackers?

Pavel: Yes. We are half the price of the centralized companies like AWS Dynamo DB. Data is safe because only the rightful owner can change it and our blockchain makes sure only they did.

Community Member: How is BLZ token used for? How to keep motivation to hold it tokens in the long term?

Pavel: It’s the main form of payment to use the database.

You will be able to stake and earn part of the transaction fees and rewards. We will be adding more modules. Not just data storage but data analytics, risk management and defi features. All that drives more usage and value of the token.

Community Member: Which types of Financial services are provided by Bluzelle Blockchain under Decentralized Finance (DeFi ) ?

Pavel: Defi is so early still. It will need to become more sophisticated like traditonal finance. Companies will need risk management, data analytics, customer views. All that is powered by a NoSQL database like Bluzelle. We are going to release a report soon for the market potential.

Community member: On which types of industries is Bluzelle primarily focusing on? Also, can you explain what are the main benefits of Bluzelle to those industries?

Pavel: Defi — historical pricing data, analytics, risk management.

Content — censorship resistance and privacy. People are not trusting media and governments for changing things. Bluzelle prevents that.

Retail — inventory management.

Community member: Why will we choose Bluzelle over many projects/platforms that also offers Distributed Open Source Database Service? What is your advantage over your competitors?

Pavel: Dirstributed doesn’t mean decentralized. Only Bluzelle does that. A distributed system can still go down. Decentralized means data is available somewhere. Plus we can assure it isn’t tampered.

Community member: The tokens of all projects have their main utility and practical purposes! So, can you tell us what is the main role of BLZ in your ecosystem? Explain its utility and real-world use cases? Why should I invest in BLZ for a long time?

Pavel: If you think Dapps are the future, then all the data needs to be stored somewhere. If you are big on that future then you can see why a decentralized database is needed. None of the applications you use now would be working without one.

Community member: What makes you proud of Bluzelle? Do you want to be a leader in mass adoption of this product or technology?

Pavel: Most proud that we are building something new that has never been done. We are very close to launching the Mainnet! We want to be one of the leaders building Web 3. If we didn’t want to lead, then we should go home.

Community Member: As there are no data centers, is the information 100% safe and protected?

Pavel: No one can ever say 100% safe. But we are safer than anyone else and more scalable and more available. Others don’t have the blockchain securing it.

Community Member: What is main potential threat do you see in blockchain technology currently? What is the real life problem Bluzelle is aiming to solve with Blockchain?

Pavel: Biggest threat is businesses and consumers not being educated on great benefits. We need more people to come in. I think everyone in crypto spends most of the time talking to other in crypto. We need more people coming in and growing the addressable market.

Community member: How do you plan to develop the developer community? What incentive programs for developers exist in Bluzelle?

Pavel: The Swarm of Duty Campaign was a test to see what developers like and what they build. Now we will be launching a bigger developer program. We will be doing part of together with a certain layer 2 platform [hint hint]…

Community member: The rise of blockchain querying indicates the significance of decentralized data protocol. Also Defi needs a storage database. As one of the frontrunners, how will Bluzelle technology be utilized in solving this and providing a hack-proof Defi ecosystem?

Pavel: We have been working on that and will be releasing details soon. 🤐

Community Member: Bluzelle mentions scalability and latency, so what problems have happened to existing blockchains and how does Bluzelle solve it your way?

Pavel: A project has to choose from 1 of 2 evils. Store data on a blockchain like Ethereum and have it be secure BUT slow AND expensive.

Or choose a centralized solution and be fast BUT not secure.

Bluzelle gives security AND speed.

Community Member: What about google drive where they store data and how Bluzelle is different that that model? what’s difference between cloud data and serverless data?

Pavel: Google Drive stores files. It’s like Dropbox. We store data. Think of Filecoin as Google Drive. Bluzelle is Oracle. We work together. Decentralized storage is the next wave. File and Data. Both are needed.

Community Member: Bluzelle’s focus on protocol development on the blockchain is the direction of 2019–2020, so do you plan to cooperate with protocol developers? Is Bluzelle’s database system sufficient to meet the needs of Web development?

Pavel: 100%. Because we built our chain on Cosmos, we will become available to every blockchain. Blockchains will need to connect to Cosmos so they can speak to other chains.

Community member: Is it necessary to have two tokens? Why don’t have only one what achieve all the features the platform needs?

Pavel: Two tokens was needed for short term. ERC 20s everyone has access to. Internal token is needed to ensure speed. We will migrate both together.

Community member: What is the role of BLZ token in the network? Do I need to pay Bluzelle for payment? Do I need to pay for BLZ to send messages? In other words, what is the logic of the BLZ token appreciation?

Pavel: It’s for paying for the service and for validators to stake to earn. Price goes up as more companies need BLZ to store their data.

Community member: Hi you recently had a chat with CRYPTO101 Podcast and talked about decentralized storage and what we should expect from the Bluzelle team in the next 6months. As a long term investor, can you share with us some of the KEY highlights and what developmental progress should we expect from the team?

Pavel : Biggest things are (1) Launch of staking. (2) Launch of Mainnet (3) Launch of Defi Data Product.

With that we’ll have big partnerships we are working on. As a long-term investor, thanks for sticking with us.

Community member: Bluzelle is funded by HASHED, NGC and other large companies. What is your relationship today and what makes them believe your team and product?

Pavel: It is very strong. Both groups I reach out for introductions to other companies and partners. Now that we are more developed we will lean on them more. NGC has connected us with many great projects.

Community member: Why use Cosmos and Tendermint in Bluzelle? What are the benefits of Bluzelle using Tendermint?

Pavel: Cosmos allows us to work with every other blockchain. We become THE database for Web 3. Tendermint allows us to focus on data products and not spend resources on consensus engines.

We don’t want this to happen.

Community member: Partnership is very important for the growth and development of the project. So, can you tell us some details about the Bluzelle partnership?

Pavel: Yes they are. Since the success of our Swarm of Duty campaign we have many partnerships in the works. One is a top 25 platform, another is a major leader in Web 3. Another has something to do with ‘Mitras’ :)

Community member: The upcoming ETH 2.0 will solve all the problems of Ethereum regarding scalability, etc and then make it the king of DApps again. How do you see this as a threat or obstacle to Bluzelle?

Pavel: ETH 2.0 will bring more developers and more consumers. That means more need for Bluzelle. ETH 2.0 is a benefit not a threat!

Community member: As an investor, why should we invest in the vision network as a long-term investment?

Pavel: Do you believe blockchain is the future? Do you believe decentralized applications will revolutionize the world? Then they will all need decentralized data storage.

Community member: What if Ethereum cannot solve its scalability problem and becomes so overloaded with all new projects where a simple BLZ Trade takes hours? Can Bluzelle’s architecture easily switch to a scalable blockchain or launch its own mainnet?

Pavel: We aren’t dependant on Ethereum. We have our own chain and our own mainnet. We can work with any blockchain. We have 10,000 TPS.

Community member: Do Bluzelle have any crypto competitors it is competing with and what stage in their lifecycle/development are they?

Pavel: I would say Arweave. They focus on permanent storage. A little different from us. The world is massive for database market. So there is more than enough for us. Like Oracle, Mongo DB, AWS in the centralized world.

Community member: Recently, Bluzelle divided its NODES into SWARMS. Why did you do this? What’s the benefit to the Bluzelle ecosystem?

What would be an ideal situation of node distribution around the world for Bluzelle to perform well?

Pavel: Look at swarms as mini networks. This ensures speed. We have optimised that 11 nodes are enough for a swarm. That keeps 11 copies of the data in 11 places. The chances of all 11 going down at the same time are very low. This way we can have millions of swarms.

Community member: 1# As per BLZ Website description “Bluzelle enables Dapps to store their data in a place that is both decentralized and mutable” but as Chainlink provides feature to connect any external oracle to any blockchain, so why anyone should use BLZ Database, since it’s new concept and it might take time to learn or understand, rather traditional databases where person is already knows it well, just use Chainlink and done ?

2#Can centralized applications use BLZ Database, if yes how?

Pavel: 1. Look at Cloudflare. People lost a large part of the Internet today. Better to have a decentralized internet. Like Bitcoin never goes down, neither should applications.

2. Yes. We support several programming languages: Python, Ruby, JS, and more. A centralized application can easily use us.

Groot: Thank you Pavel for spending your quality time with the Crypto Daku community and presenting Bluzelle so well. (Personally I liked your gif answers)

Wish you and the team Bluzelle all the very best ❤️

The End!
