Jennifer Harris was just 28 years old when she disappear on May 12, 2002. Her Jeep would be found abandoned on the side of the road. Six days later a fisherman would find her nude body floating in a river. Bonham Texas, Jennifer’s case has become folklore — the 2002 murder is one of the oldest unsolved murder cases in Fannin Co.

Police have shared that Jennifer told at least one other person that she was pregnant, however, wildlife started to eat her body and that includes her uterus so there is no way to confirm.

At the time that Jennifer went missing, she had two men in her life. James Hamilton, her ex-boyfriend, and Rob Holman, her ex-husband. Both denied to police seeing her the night she disappeared. Both have obviously denied being involved in her murder and neither are listed as suspects.

According to a CBS news article: In 2017, then-newly elected Fannin County Sheriff Mark Johnson made good on a campaign promise to take a second look at the Jennifer Harris case. What he found was limited information and some evidence that had been damaged and destroyed by water getting into a storage pod. Johnson says he believes other evidence may have been mishandled. (Isn’t this always the case?)
