Book Review: The Graveyard Book

Verdict: Good

This is a nice little book, captivating from the first page.

A killer named Jack kills the whole family of a one year old boy, who fortunately escapes to an old cemetery at top of a hill near his house. The resident of the graveyard, the ghosts and a vampire, shelter from the killer. The ghosts of Owen family adapt him and name him Nobody.

Nobody grows up amongst the tombstone and learns the ways of the other world. This story is about the many adventures he encounters till he was eighteen. Here he meets a girl as well, who happened to come and stay at his old house at the bottom of the hill, and visits the cemetery on occasions. They became good friends and accomplishes in the many adventures to come up to the final battle with The Jack.

It is a nice little fantasy and a heart-warming one as well. It was a good read.
