Awareness Journey by Selvan Srinivasan is a pragmatic book on achieving a balanced mind and body by looking in the deeper aspects of our existence with energy as the root base. In the book, you will come across Aayushi taking awareness lessons from her mentor Selvan. Though purely conversational, they both materialize the transformation session step-by-step with modules and knowledge insights. Nonetheless, the book can be read for a gamut of learning that it offers along with awareness journey. This post explores reasons as why one should try this book for more than one reason.

1. Illness to Wellness:

No one is perfect, so does our body. Either mental or physical, from time and over we experience pain, misery, and affliction of suffering that comes from our body or mind. However, people most of the time wrongly incline to only one aspect. They either heed too much on their physical endurance or sometimes do meditation or yoga to calm their mental state. But the fact is that the process of achieving holistic healing takes place when our body maintains both: energy body and physical body. Focusing on any one exclusively doesn’t bring long-lasting results. This book thus truly educates people the process of going from illness to wellness.

2. Energy Movements:

Energy is the lifeline of our soul. Without energy packets, we are null and void. The entire cosmos is a vast infinite expanse of energy. Selvan makes us understand that energy is above physical body. It is like a circle/halo, under which we have other entities like intuitive mind, rational thinking, and physical body and so on. The book lays special emphasis on energy movements, which in result taps our energies. From DC to set of energy movements, the student and the mentor indulge into energy movements almost every day. Without energy movements, the journey of awareness will remain incomplete. Selvan introduces these EMs via his YouTube channel and illustrations in the book.

3. Acidic and Alkaline Body:

While teaching how to calm the body to Aayushi, from the book comes out this wonderful piece of health for in general mass. He sheds optimum light on acidic vs. alkaline type of body. What is the difference and what brings what misfortune. To cut it short, it is to be understood that acidic body means higher heat which further causes indigestion and other disorders. Going extra, the author has given tips on achieving alkaline body which is good for calm and disease-free body.

4. The Act of Gratitude:

Pause and appreciate life that you have. The book highlights ‘the act of gratitude is missing from our lives’. It is to be noted that our thinking and emotional mind lags behind in this virtue, while analytical/logical mind fosters the act of gratitude. There are ways for expressing gratitude — one of the finest discoveries in the gratitude forte is jump journaling.

Note: The aim of the book is to foster overall wellness with being happy by default. For that one needs to undergo a journey of awareness to identify inner aspects and to tap the resources of energy points. The book is available on Kindle and Amazon in both formats.
