‘Drug Lords of the World’ by Dr. Binoy Gupta is a spellbinding portrayal of the world’s multibillion-dollar drugs trade, influence, authority, operations and the enchanting backstage stories of their infamous kingpins. You can find many movies on drug lords like Al Capone, Khun Sa, and Cali Cartels, yet the authenticity can be found in a genuine piece of literature. Dr. Gupta’s keen sense of observation and immaculate research has produced an unputdownable piece of literature that circles around the world and brings forth tales of drug lords from across the borders, continents, mountains and jungles.

Every story is enchanting when it narrates about their rise and the ultimate fall. Inevitably, it comes out as a moral conscience that evil deeds may achieve the zenith of power and wealth but with time they are bound to fall and die with sheer harrowing depth. Chicago’s Al Capone was as famous as a celebrity through news media and movies, and the author presented his story in a most enchanting way. Like him there are many, you would love the order of events and operations that the author shown in the book. He starts with personal story and then lay exposed the underbelly of their crime world and when they are gone…stories about their descendents begin.

In America it was Al Capone. In Latin it was the unflinching oppressive influence of Cartels but from the Golden Triangle Khun Sa’s story is not only impressive but also heart winning. Most of the drug lords acted as Robin Hood for poor and needy. In Myanmar Khun Sa became so powerful that he controlled his state with his army and wealth obtained from drug trafficking. The book is tribute to the facts, stats, and stories about world’s leading drug lords and their narco states of the yesteryears whose actual details are little-known and often hidden.

‘Drug Lords of the World’ by Dr. Binoy Gupta is an outstanding book packed with history, intensity, sweeps & back stories, and adventure. A close look in the personal clashes and stories of cartels and drug lords indicated why the global drug problem remains unsolved even today. Overall, the book is unputdownable, an authentic revealing page-turner.

The book is available to buy from online stores like Amazon, Google Books.
