I think that the best way to know yourself is through introspection, and what better way to do that, than in solitude? A mind lost in the buzz of hedonistic world can be soothed by solitude of heart. The book of poems of By Meee explores the chances of life, sweetness of moments, melody of time between the dryness of this world and the solitude state of our heart. Thus, the poet is right in expressing and titling the collection as ‘The Melody Lies in Between.’

Moments are like stones

They come in many shapes and sizes

They are heavy and yet

They can be fragile

- By Meee

It’s from the solitude state of life that words pour out with exact immaculate meaning, defining the epoch of a particular time and memory with panache of fineness.

I believe that being alone, but not exactly lonely, is a way to cultivate yourself and invest yourself in getting to know every nook and cranny of your being. I think it’s a worthwhile investment and I know that By Meee would agree with me.

The poet even goes so far as to advise that if you are not comfortable with your solitude, then how can you be comfortable with someone else? It is like he/she telling us that it would be better to be alone first until we are actually ready to be with someone. Being uncomfortable means faking everything — your ballast, peace, the mind is restless, and life is mess. Better gain this wisdom through the short lines of the poem Piece.

I shouldn’t be anyone else but me

But my piece doesn’t seem to fit in

Am I in the right place to be

Or are they not ready for what I’m holding in?

It’s to bask in our aloneness and solitude that makes us strong and interesting among people, and maybe in the future — we can also meet someone who is like us, and then both of our solitudes can become one.

The poet wants us to also steer clear of people who aren’t comfortable in their solitude, because it would only cause problems in the future — because if they cannot handle being alone, then how much more would they not be able to handle being with another person. So to him, it’s better to guard your heart until someone comes to joins their solitude with yours.

You have words

I have words

But the language

Isn’t the same

I can sing for you

Or you for me

But it’s still not the same

A melody rising

No words

Words are almost like food

We All can say words
