Mumbai (May 5, 2019), — Ruhee Advani’s collection of poems, Growing Up is high on teenage theme. The author has penned down, overall, seventy-four short to medium poems, all highlighting the joy, plight, and fear of teenage days i.e. growing up days.

Sometimes I wonder

How it is people don’t see

How beautiful it is

To feel pain, to just be

I wish I could tell them

To just let go

Feel the fear, anxiety, sorrow

It might not be there tomorrow.

About the Book:

Teenage is the most beautiful phase of our lives. We don’t realize its value as then we get most of the things on time, such as parental love, sibling rivalry, the lure of physical appearance, call of youth and so on. However, during this time we are most vulnerable to our surrounding and people around us. We go through a farrago of emotions and crave for freedom like anything. Based on similar lines, Ruhee Advani has brought forward her collection of poems and proses that truly depict our nature during the teenage times. The collection is simply delightful to read as it takes you back and forth on a memory lane. The book is segmented into two parts/ age periods — Thirteen to Fifteen Years — and Sixteen to Eighteen Years. Whenever you feel like visiting your teenage days, just open it and read any random poem –you will be transported successfully.
