Feeling stuck is common with creative people. We’re a sensitive group. It doesn’t take much to throw our delicate balance into a tailspin — making us want to quit before we’re done.

But if we don’t actually do the work the project won’t exist, right?

No matter what kind of creator you are, here are 10 ways to help you get started when you’re stuck. Most of us are too hard on ourselves, which triggers our limbic system — the brain’s natural guard against change and uncertainty.

Problem is, all creative work is uncertain.

When you choose a giant new project, the limbic system slams the door and pull every trick in the bag to prevent you from pursuing your new idea. So, We’ve got to sneak around these internal guards, so the alarm isn’t triggered.
