How I’ve Written Over 1,800 Stories on Medium — Less than an Hour a Day
You can spend more time, sure, but this works if you’re in a hurry
Since 2018, I’ve published 1,818 stories on Medium (this one is 1,819). While the old days of Medium we super-lucrative, the platform is now packed with daily content from tens of thousands of writers, while the number of paying subscribers hovers around two million.
This means if you want to use the partner program to cover your bills (like it used to), you will be sadly disappointed. But not to worry. Medium is a fantastic tool without the partner program.
In fact, I wish they’d do away with it altogether and only focus on getting more stories in front of the people who actually follow your work.
Medium is your chance to earn the trust of the people you serve before they pay you for deeper work.
The process starts with your purpose.
If you want to use Medium to hone your writing skills and possibly showcase your fiction, fast writing is not for you. But if you want to use Medium as a tool to build your audience elsewhere, fast Medium stories are a great way to accomplish this.
